In short: TsekQR reads QR codes on your phone. It has no accounts and no ads, and it does not collect your name, contacts, location or e-wallet details. When a QR contains a website link, TsekQR sends only that link (without anything after the "?") to our server to check it against scam lists. Store data you enter in "I'm selling" stays on your phone.

1. Who we are
TsekQR is made by TechnoBuilders Network and Data Solution, a sole proprietorship of Dennis Abuan Carlos, Barlin St., Santa Cruz, 4400 City of Naga, Camarines Sur, Philippines ("we", "us"). We are responsible for the information described here under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
TsekQR is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with GCash, Maya, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas or any government agency. It does not process payments and cannot guarantee that a QR code is safe.
2. What stays on your phone

3. What is sent to our server
Link checks
If a QR code contains a website link, TsekQR sends that link to our server so it can be checked against our own scam list and Google Web Risk. Before sending, the app removes everything after "?" and "#" in the link (these parts can contain personal information). Payment QR contents, payee names and wallet numbers are never sent.
Our server keeps the result of each check for 6 to 24 hours, identified by a one-way hash of the link, so repeated checks of the same link are faster. These records are deleted automatically every day once they expire.
Scam list download
The app downloads our list of known scam websites so it can warn you even when you are offline. This download does not send any information about you.
Links you report
If you tap "Send link to TsekQR", only the link (without anything after "?" or "#") is sent to us so we can review it and, if confirmed, add it to the scam list. The store name, area and description you type in the report screen are not sent; they stay in the report you share yourself. Reports are not linked to you and are deleted 12 months after review.
Abuse protection
To stop automated abuse, our server counts requests per device network address. It stores only a salted one-way hash of the address, never the address itself, and deletes these counts within one day.
4. Service providers

We do not sell or rent information, and we do not share it for advertising. We do not sell or share lists of reported wallet numbers or account names.
5. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to be informed, to access, to correct, to object, to erasure or blocking, to data portability, and to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph). Because TsekQR has no accounts and keeps your seller data only on your phone, most information can be deleted by you directly by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it. 6. Children
TsekQR is meant for adults who make or receive digital payments. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
7. Security
Connections between the app and our server are encrypted (HTTPS). Server keys are kept on the server, never in the app. Access to our database is limited by row-level security.
8. Changes
If TsekQR starts collecting different information, for example when optional accounts are added, we will update this policy and the effective date before the change takes effect.
